Position: Research And Development / Network Technician

Job Description: Perform on-site installation and troubleshooting of NT 4.0, while researching the integration of Linux into current corporate environments.

Projects: Research MRTG (Multi Router Traffic Grapher) for use in hybrid Windows NT 4, Windows NT 2000, Red Hat Linux 6. Installed NT 4.0 Server utilizing a Compaq Proliant 3500 running SQL 7.0. Implemented a Norton Anti-virus corporate solution as well as assisting in numerous daily network issues. Provided backup solutions using simple hardware and open source software. Find alternative and feasible solutions to expensive Microsoft products using open source operating systems such as FreeBSD and Linux.

Employer: Micro/Net Solutions, Inc.

Position: Service Manager / Network Technician

Job Description: Assisted and coordinated field service technicians, as well as performed on-site consulting of Windows NT 4.0 Server, Citrix Metaframe 1.8, as well as SCO UNIX. Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Georgia (SCO UNIX) was our largest client. We provided the customers with technical phone support as well as onsite hardware and software support. I maintained relationships with customers and vendors during difficult restructuring periods.

Projects: Consulted with web site developers on restructure and redesign of Micronetsolutions.com. Researched new technologies to provide customers with point-to-point communication via limited bandwidth connections (Citrix MetaFrame). Implemented numerous Citrix Solutions, and performed many NT 4.0 installations and maintenance.
